“What should young people do with their lives today? Many things, obviously. But the most daring thing is to create stable communities in which the terrible disease of loneliness can be cured.”
– Kurt Vonnegut, 1981
Our dream is to create a stable community to cure the terrible disease of loneliness. We will attempt to plot our journey on this newsletter, using probably a mixture of text and video.
My dream is to live in a communal house, where we look after each other, and the environment around us. We’d cook meals together, garden together and sit and read together.
To this end, we want to set up a housing co-operative (that is, everyone who lives there is their own landlord) in Carmarthen, South Wales.
We’re currently looking for like minded folk to join our group. If you think that might be you, then drop us an email.

Our leaflet
Text version of the above leaflet:
The aim:
We want to create a group to form an intentional community and provide each other stable housing through buying a house as a housing cooperative.
The group:
a radical, life-long supportive and collaborative community that is:
queer-friendly
disabled-friendly
sober-friendly
neurodivergent-friendly
climate-conscious; cares about each other and the global/local eco-system; wants to fix social injustices
committed to conflict resolution by fixing systems not people, and accepting people where they’re at
The house:
a large kitchen for communal meals plus enough space for communal projects and hobbies (including a greenhouse and a music room), as well as our independent lives
provides opportunities for low-friction no-obligation socialising
in a town with easy access to local activities and public transport, ideally near the sea (probably in South Wales)
